Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addresses Canadians from outside his home in Ottawa on the federal government’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. He urges people to stay home as much as possible in the coming weeks, as the latest federal modelling forecasts that Canada could see 20,000 new cases daily by the end of December if the number of social contacts is not sufficiently reduced. Daily cases could rise to 60,000 if Canadians increase their contact with others.
